Creating tools in Groove Office 2007

Hi,

I am interested in creating my own tool for Groove. Where can I find
information about it?

Groove 3.1 did support a Groove Workspaces API (GWAPI) that allowed people
to create their own Groove Tools. Groove 2007 no longer provides support for
custom in process tools via GWAPI or any other APIs.

Groove 2007 does support custom out of process applications written against
its Web services interface.

actually that ability to create custom tools went away before v3.1

So if I wanted to create my own tool like Chess, which is provided as a tool,
I can not do it? I have seen that there is a company which creates tools for
Groove (I think that the tool is 'Dashboard' but I can't remember the
company). How do they do it?

You have 2 ways to create your own tools :
- Use Groove Forms to create your own Forms oriented applications.
- Use Web Services API to create your own (external) applications linked
with Groove (synchronize data, create workspace, add/remove tools, etc)

Nora 1 : As said by SB, unfortunately, you will not be able anymore to
create embedded tools...

Nota 2 : About "Dashboard" : Teamdirection (www.teamdirection.com)
created Teamdirection Project and Teamdirection Dashboard, 2 tools
dedicated to project management. In the former version, the tools were
embedded into Groove workspace. In the new version, there are outside
Groove workspace.
