creating upload, download form

[upload download form]

I am trying to creat a form page on my site,
www.cvrennaker.com to enable me to upload and download
files to be exchanged by family members. I have been able
to create a username/password html page within a secure
folder. I have created a folder to send uploaded pages to
but have not been able to setup the pages using frontpage
to accomplish this. I did find a procedure to establish an
upload page that does not work. The directors of my
hosting network have not been able to assist me probably
because I am not a programmer. I have a 2" thick
instruction book entitled "FrontPage inside out" by
Buyens, complete with a CDROM. I must be too thick to find
where this is covered. Can anyone sugget a study guide for
the "uninformed" to learn how to do this?
