Creating Videos

I want to turn a powerpoint presentation into video (dvd and vhs format). In
the past I've connect my laptop to my TV with a vcr hooked up to it - play
the presentation and recorded it using the vcr. The resolution was very
poor. Is there a better way?

That's as good as it gets on VHS, and I agree with your assessment that it's not
good. For DVD see http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpoint-to-dvd.htm.
The quality will be better, but don't expect anything that can compete with
displaying your presentation on your monitor.
