creating webpage in word

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

whenever i save my webpage in word then go back to it, it looks different. the background is gone, the pictures are different or gone. after i save it i check the web page preview and it looks fine. the problem is when i close out word and come back to it.

What web server are you using?

What version of HTML?

Which HTML filtering are you using?

What stylesheet are you using?

Which file server contains the graphics?

Sorry: I need a lot more information to answer this question. Word outputs
two levels of HTML. The "Filtered" one removes various things to make the
web page smaller.

Graphics are not contained in a web page file: they need to be uploaded to
the server and linked into the page from the webserver.
