Creating workflow in Project Server 2007 with SharePoint Designer

Lisa

Hello,
I am researching creating workflows in Project Server 2007 and I was told
that SharePoint Designer is not able to open Project Server 2007 sites and
that I would need to use Visual Studio w/ Workflow Foundation. I don't have
SharePoint Designer installed so I can't test it but thought I would check on
here to find out other people's experience.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa

It seems as if the PWA site containing server settings, resource centre etc.
'has been configured to disallow editing with SharePoint designer' as the
error message says. This doesn't prevent you from creating workflows in the
project workspaces as they are standard WSS sites. You can edit the sites in
SharePoint designer if they are sub-sites in the PWA site collection
(http://server/pwa/site1) or in a site collection elsewhere. It seems only
to be the main Project Web Access administrative site that one is prevented
from editing with SharePoint Designer.

Regards

Andy
