Creating XML files

Hello,

I would like to be able to create my own 3rd party .xml files to be loaded
into Visio to be viewed / printed.

Does anyone know of some simple examples that will show me how to do this? I
have the SDK, but it doesn't show any sample/simple examples. If I save a
Visio file as .xml it is FULL of information that is not required to load a
file properly.

Hello Barry,
I'm fighting the same war!
I sugest you download the "Microsoft Office 2003 Developer Resources". It
contains an explanation of the "DatadiagramML schema", helping you understand
what makes up the XML file!
As for samples, the only samples I've found was the one that came with
the Vision SDK (C:\Program Files\microsoft
office\Visio10\SDK\Samples\XML\XSLT\Flowchart.vdx). As you said, its a very
complete file, but with the help of the DatadiagramML schema explanation,
you'll be able to find your way through it!
