Creation of Switchboards

S

Sondra

I currently have a db with one switchboard that helps the
users navigate to where they need to go. What I am
wondering is can I set up separate switchboards for
separate uses; i.e. UserJane opens up db and switchboardA
opens whereas UserJohn opens up db and switchboardB opens.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Thanks

Sondra

Can you elaborate a little more? I'm at "basic" level of
programming, but usually can get started with a little
gudiance.

Thanks

Sondra,
The first thing to do is get a copy of the Security FAQ (there's a link to
it on the Security page of my website). Read it carefully, several times,
and follow it to the letter. This will guide you through the basics of
getting your users setup. You can then take it to the level of complexity
that you need. The FAQ contains information on how to determine which
group(s) a given user is a member of and you can use that to determine what
forms, reports, etc. they can use. Anyway, get started there and post back
if you have any questions.
