Creeping labels

Standard Avery 1 inch labels that used to work fine for years, no longer
work now that I've installed A2003 (formerly AXP and A97 before that). The
3x10 now previews as 3x9 and if you actually print the page, the printing
creeps up so that by the time the 6th row is printing, the top line on the
label is printing on the label above. I've tried other label sizes and they
have the same problem. I'm using the same printer that has worked fine for
4 years. I have searched the kb and hotfixes and haven't found anything
relevant. I tried one suggestion to change the bottom margin to 1.5" and
just forget the last row but then the preview only shows 8 rows of labels so
that doesn't solve the problem. Also, when I look at the page setup, the
bottom margin is changed to .516" and nothing will let it be set to .5" so
that will certainly cause a problem. On an 11" sheet, the top and bottom
margins need to be .5" in order to print 10 rows of labels. Any ideas?

It's possible that some printers have a minimum bottom margin and that
Access is being forced to adhere to that. I've had similar problems where
this minimum will then be reflected back in the report (label, in this case)
properties. A possible solution is to have Access print to an intermediate
(such as a PDF) and then print from there. Bob.

Make sure the detail height is 1". Then set the top margin to .4 and the
bottom margin to .6. Move all your controls on your label down .1" so they
will be centered on your label.

Thanks Duane that was one combination I hadn't tried. This is a really
annoying bug. We haven't changed printers or drivers and we haven't changed
the label reports. All we did was install A2003 and now every single label
report needs to be modified!!!! Plus the label wizard no longer generates
usable reports. I sure hope there is a hot fix for this in the works.
