Critical Problems with Share Point Services

M

Micheal

Hi,

I am administrator in EPM when I click on the ADMIN menu and click on
"MANAGE WINDOWS SHARE POINT SERVICES" when I save the page the dialog box is
appearing with this message

" There are no sites templates installed on the specified server running
windows sharepoint services.verify that the web server is properly extended
with windows share point services. "

Tell me how i solve this problem because with that message I think project
server is not proper integrated with share point services thats why when the
user want to open issue, risks and documents page of the projects these
stuff are not working and blank page is appearing.
pls tell me the solution of the problem.

Regards

Micheal

Micheal,

I had this delima before. As I recall I solved this by re applying the WSS
SP1.
Your problem is that when you go to site provisioning settings under Manage
Windows Sharepoint services you get an empty Site Template. is this your case?

Hope this helps and let me know

Micheal,

Looks like your project site data were corrupted. follow these steps:
1- Backup your 2 databases from SQL (Projectserver & STS_servername_1) so as
if anything goes wrong you can get back to your last backup.

2- From Manage Windows Sharepoints Servers - Connect to Sharepoint Server,
verify that you have the correct information.

3-Go to Manage sharepoint sites and click the site for each project. In your
case you will get errors. what you have to do is to delete the site for the
corrupted ones and create them again. If you get a message when trying to
delete a site it means that you have to go to that project's sharepoint site
and delete it from there.

4- click edit site for the corrupted one and check Remove Sharepoint Site URL.

5- clikc create site (for the one you have just deleted) and then synchronise.

6- repeate these steps for all corrupted project sites.

Hope this helps
