critical to uncritical

[Change to uncritical]

If I change a task with the restriction "start not later
then" it changes to a red critical task. But actually the
task is not really critical. How can I change it to an
uncritical/blue taks without changing the restriction.

Hi,

If Project changes it to critical then it IS critical.
Tasks are critical when they have no slack, and Project calculates that
slack.
What makes you say the task isn't critical?
Your constraint locks the task and eliminates the slack.
So the answer to your question is you can't.

Start Not Later than is a "hard constraint" : that means that it'll block
the plan. MS Project consisder that tasks with hard constraints (red dot in
the Indicators column) don't have any slack. In fact, it's not true...
