Croatian characters in word x

F

frazer irving

Hello all

I need some assistance real quick. I have a UK powerbook running os 10.2.6,
and although I have my keyboard layouts set up ok to work in textedit etc,
when I go into word x I find I can only use this croatianCE thing which
lacks a very important character (that being a "d" with a line through it).

So does ANYONE have any ideas about how I can fix this? I can't import the
unicode from textedit and I can't use this CE thing cos it has the wrong
characters.

Pleeeez help.

Hi Frazer:

You *can* simply copy from TextEdit and paste into Word. The character will
appear as a hollow box, but it will be in the document.

See www.mvps.org/word/mac for an explanation of Word X's Unicode
deficiencies and some convoluted work-arounds.

Cheers
