cropping a round object

Hi
I have a clip art of a baseball, but only want the baseball not the white
space - how can I crop a round object

This cannot be do with the crop function. A work around is to draw a circle
and have the Fill, Fill Effects, Picture be the clip art image. You may need
to do some fiddling to get the image to align just as you wish but at least
you now have a round object.

If the baseball is a bitmap (.jpg, .png etc) you can use the transparency tool
on the draw toolbar to make the background clear. Problem with that is you will
probably make parts of the baseball transparent too. Won't matter however if you
are printing on white stock.
