Cropping Picture

We create a lot of our images using AutoCAD. These are copied and pasted
into Word documents where they are merged with the text. We use Word to
adjust the final size to suit the document.

In Word 2003 this was easy - you just clicked on the image and a toolbar
popped up with the crop feature but this doesn't work in Word 2007.

I have to save the document created in Word 2007, go to an old machine that
still has Word 2003 and crop the image. Save and re-open on my orginal
machine.

Am I missing something - this is progress?

I have to say the Word 2007 is the biggest mess I've come across in a long
time. It has just been changed for no reason. How do i go back to Word 2003?

If you select the picture, the crop tool is on the ribbon. Or if not, click the
Picture tools above the Format menu. What format is the picture?

The picture tool bar goes away when I select the image. It works ok for
other imported files such as jpg. This image originated in AutoCAD and the
image was copied using the copy icon (cntl-C).

In Word 2003 (and all earler versions) these images could be cropped - not
in Word 2007.
