Cross-platform AutoShape changes

R

RickGreg

I have created a presentation with several "rounded rectangle" autoshapes
using Powerpoint 2004 (11.3.2) on a Powerbook G4 (OS 10.4.9).

When I send the file to a client (using PCs) for editing, the shapes appear
fine.

When they send them back to me, initially they appear fine, but soon the
rounded rectangles turn into small regular rectangles.

When I first create the rounded rect. autoshape and select FORMAT AUTOSHAPE,
the TEXT BOX option is grayed out.

When I receive the file back, the TEXT BOX option is now available, and the
RESIZE AUTOSHAPE TO FIT TEXT box is checked. I suspect this is what's
causing the re-sizing problem.

Even when I fix the object, uncheck the "resize" box and send it back to the
client, the same problem repeats.

Any ideas on this?

Many thanks!

PS: Same problem seems to happen with regular (non-rounded) rectangles

Hi Rick,

Do you know what version of PowerPoint is being used on the Windows
computers? Do you know whether or not those versions have been updated to
with the current updates?

It's best if you and your Windows friends would take a few moments and get
all the versions up to date.

Thanks.
