Cross platform compatibility - LIST

D

dgerharter

I created a spreadsheet in Excel 2003 for Windows which utilizes the LIST feature and macros. When opening on the Mac in v.2008, I lost the macros (of course), but also lost data validation links and the LIST definition.
I then opened it in Excel 2004 for Mac and got the macros back but still lost the data validation links and the LIST definition.
I then re-defined the LIST area using the LIST Manager in Excel 2004 for Mac, but alas, when I opened that file back in Excel 2003 for Windows, the LIST was again lost.

Any idea how to make a file which can use the List/LIST Manager functionality and is cross platform compatible?

Mac Excel lists cannot be used in Windows Excel versions earlier than Excel
2007.

So "No".

Sorry :)
