Cross-Platform Licensing

I have two copies of Office XP and I just received a new iMac. Is it
possible to convert one of my licenses to a Mac version of Office or do
I need to purchase yet another copy of Office?

It depends on which version of Office you have. If it is an OEM copy, then
it belongs to the qualifying hardware with which it was purchased and lives
and dies with that hardware. It is not transferable.

Theoretically, if it is a full retail pack, it can be uninstalled and
transferred to another computer, but it won't work on a MAC, so you have to
buy a new version.

If it is a MOLP (or other licence) then you can buy the media pack and
install it.
