I read two newsgroups that often have messages cross-posted between them.
On every newsreader I've ever used, dating back to rn in 1987, once a
message is read once, in one group, it is marked as read in all the groups
it was cross-posted to.

Except in Entourage.

Is there a preference I missed?

No. Entourage is a very limited newsreader, as I'm sure you have found out
by now. :-(

Anything that makes Unison seem Full-featured is kinda embarrassing.

There really aren't any GOOD news readers for OS X though. I mean, MT-N
still looks like it was written for Mac OS 8. Oh wait, it was. :/
