Cross-Reference/Caption Help

Jonna

I have created Appendicies in a Word document (Office
2000) by using the Caption option. Now I'm inserting a
Cross Reference to the Appendix within the body of the
report. For no "apparent" reason, Word puts a page break
right before the C-Ref and pushes it to the next page.
The C-Ref and Page Break also appear to be linked (can't
delete one without the other). Sometimes this problem
only appears after printing.

Has anyone seen this before? And have any idea how to fix?

Thank You!

Hi Jonna

Have you inserted a manual page break before the Appendix heading you are
cross referencing?

Depending on when and how you do this, there are at least two ways this can
give you a page break in the cross reference. It's much safer to use the
paragraph setting 'Page break before'.
