I've added cross-references to figures into my document. However, it seems
like when I save and exit the document, any cross references that are near
the end of the line get a hard return added in front of them when I re-open
the document. The only thing I can think of is that a widow/orphan control
is being enforced, but I can't seem to fix it. Its become a big problem
because some of the cross-references are included in bulleted items and when
I save and re-open the file the hard returns that are inserted in front of
the cross-references are creating new bullets. Any help or suggestions would
be much appreciated because I'm tired of having to delete the returns
manually every time I open the document.
