Not exactly easy, but it's doable.
1. Insert both cross references first. *This first step is necessary.*
2. Go to Figure 1 (the caption itself) and select just the number.
3. Go to Insert | Bookmark. Check the box for "Hidden bookmarks" and the
radio button for "Location."
4. The bookmark that is highlighted is the one around "Figure 1." Click the
Add button, and the bookmark will be moved to "1," which you have selected.
5. Repeat the process for Figure 2.
6. Select the cross-references you inserted and F9 to update them. You
should now have just 1 and 2. Type "Figures" before them.
