cross referencing figs.

HI,
previously i looked for help/explanation as to why i was getting extra
lines being created ahead of a cross ref. to a figure.

I seem to have accidently got around the problem; by deleting the
cross reference and reinserting it with the hyperlink option turned
off. Fingers crossed!

this was word 2000 on version 5 of the windows 2000 professional
operating system.

Just reinserting it would have done the trick, as this recreates the
bookmark. What happened originally is that you got new text inside the
existing bookmark.
