Cross Role in Project Server

I have 2 project managers(PM_A, PM_B) in Project Server who both belong
to the Project Managers groupand have same access right.

There are certain projects where PM_B is a team member of a project
owned by PM_A. In such case, the PM_B can also open that project in MS
Project(because he has PM right) and made amendments to the project plan
which he is not suppose to.

Is there anyway to prevent this ?

If you do not want PM_B to see and open the project in which he/she is a
team member, then complete the following steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Manage security
3. Select the My Projects category and click the Modify Category button
4. In the Projects section, deselect the "Allow users in this category to
view all projects in which they are a team member" option
5. Click the Save Changes button

If you want PM_B to see projects in which he/she is a team member, but only
be able to open them Read-Only, then complete the following steps:

1. Perform steps #1-5 in the previous section
2. On the Categories page of PWA, click the Add Category button
3. Name the category something like "My Projects as a Team Member"
4. In the Users and groups section, add the category to the Project
Managers group
5. In the Users and groups section, select the Project Managers group
6. In the Users and groups section, set the Open Project permission to
Allow in the Permissions grid
7. In the Projects section, select the "Allow users in this category to
view all projects in which they are a team member" option
8. Click the Save Changes button

Hope this helps.
