Crosstab queries

I was wondering whether it is possible to display row
headings for a group when the value element of that group
is zero e.g.

thing eggs
north 2
north 3
east 0
east 0
west 1
west 2

I would like to be able to run a query where in the above
example the 'east' row heading would appear with a total
of zero eggs next to it rather than not appearing at all.

I hope this makes some sense, and I hope someone can help!!

If you have records with East in them, they will display as row headings. If
there are no East records then there will be no East column headings. You
might have East in another table that you could use but you haven't provided
enough information.
