CTF Loader errors and Word recovering documents

just yesterday, I started Word and it immediately started recovering
documents, one after the other. I have thousands on my computer. It would
take forever and I have no idea what's going on.

I have been getting error messages: To help protect your computer, Windows
has closed this program down - CTF Loader.

Any suggestions?

See the section "Can I Remove the Ctfmon.exe File?" in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282599 for instructions to disable CTF Loader
(whose file name is Ctfmon.exe).

As explained there, the CTF Loader "monitors the active windows and provides
text input service support for speech recognition, handwriting recognition,
keyboard, translation, and other alternative user input technologies". If you
aren't using those features, you don't need it.

An alternative is to try repairing the Office installation. Go to Start >
Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, select the Office item, and
click the Change button. When the wizard starts up, choose "Reinstall or Repair"
and click Next, then choose "Detect and Repair".
