ctfmon.exe and Office 2007

Hi I am trying to stop the service ctfmon.exe on my pc, as I dont use
handwriting speech etc on this pc, so I would like to disable it to save on
system resources.
What I would like to know is how can I do this ??
I have tried following the instructions here
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=282599 but when I click on the office 2007
beta it just says are u sure you want to uninstall this ? I dont want to
uninstall everything just stop ctfmon running.

This indicates that you should not disable it unless you are having problems
with it. I'm sure there are other things running on your system that you can
shut down.
