One of our users is getting the following error in windows 2000. He gets it
right after logon and when he opens excel, outlook, project, etc. I've tried
to re-install office but it seems it has to do with the OS and not office.
This started to occur after I deleted a ctfmon.exe registry entry which was
causing other problems (Trojan Horse) using HijackThis. I know that this
error is being cause by "Text Services and Speech" which some office apps
make use of but I dont see any options to disable this feature from the
control panel or MS Office Tools. Any ideas that would not require
re-installing the OS?
Error:
"The procedure entry point TF_GetGlobalCompartment could not be located in
the dynamic link library MSCTF.dll"
