CTRL-A / F9 no longer updates all fields

Hi Experts!

I've been doing the CTRL-A / F9 'Update All' command to update all my field
properties. Sometime last week, this command stopped working. Before I ask
our admin to order another keyboard, is there anything I can do to get this
command to start working again?

Please be specific in what you mean when you say it stopped working.

Also, version of Word?

It works, but it never did update all fields in all documents. It updates
unlocked fields in the document layer. There are layers it does not reach.

Hi Rosanne,

Have you checked that the fields are still there (eg by toggling Alt-f9),
and that they haven't been locked (ctrl-F11 locks, Ctrl-Sift-F11 unlocks)?
