Ctrl-C not working

Ctrl-C is not working in Excel(2000) only. It works fine with other office apps and non-MS apps. I am able to right click, copy and paste fine. Also, the copy/paste buttons work fine aswell. It is just when I try to do a copy by hitting keys CTRL-C, nothing gets copied, it actually removes the text. Seems like it is cutting instead of copying. Again, CTRL-X, CTRL-C, CTRL-P works fine with other office apps.

Sounds to me like you're loading a file that contains macros that may use the Ctrl+C for other purposes. If you can't figure it out, and you're willing to have Excel work like a fresh reinstall, do the registry edit mentioned here
