Ben

I'm using outlook 2002 and in previous versions of the
program I could press the control key and enter to send a
message instead of having to click on the send button but
now that is not available. Is there any way to activate
this function in 2002?

you could press Alt+S and that would achieve the same thing as pressing the
"Send" button.

Guessing that when you press CRTL+Enter it simply puts a
carriage return into the e-mail?

If this is the case then it sounds like you are using MS
Word as your e-mail editor.

Tools menu > Options > Mail Format tab > Uncheck 'Use
Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages'

CTRL+Enter to send the e-mail should now work a treat.

From the MS Outlook 2002 Help File
CTRL+ENTER (Outlook e-mail editor only)
Send/post/invite all

Hope that you are able to resolve your issue
satisfactorily.

Regards,
