CUBE (OLAP) and Analysis Service on 64 Bit SQL Cluster

Hi,

I am trying to create OLAP Cube from PS 2007 and my SQL Servers are in a
cluster called "SQLA". The SQL Cluster contains SSAS installed but not
configured. However, when I decided to configure, I couldnt find the
security Group :

MSSQLSERVEROLAPUSER$<MachineName>$<Instance Name>

in these places:

1. Local users and Groups *under Comp Mgmt * and
2. SSAS Instance

I am just curious if this is a known issue or Should I perform reinstall/
repair the SSAS so the OLAP user group is visible.

Thank you,

Hi Gokul, from memory SSAS isn't supported on a cluster, but I would post to
the SQL group to be sure.

Hi Ben,

Apparently, SSAS is supported on the cluster provided the cluster is
configured to manually manage services service groups and accounts.

I did bit of research on that topic and found that until replication is
effected on both nodes, the groups will align and will be available for the
virtual server to access it from the management studio and management console
of my computer.

Thank you and Best Regards,
Gokul
