cumulative New users chart

Hi -
I have a query that shows number of new users per month (August, 10 new
users, September 12 new users etc) and I am trying to show this as a
cumulative chart - I'm using an area chart. However, I can't get it to show
the data cumulatively, I keep getting number of new users per month, not
cumulative number of users over time. Any ideas
