Curious about RSS feeds...

Why is it that some of my RSS feeds download the entire text, but others
just put the first line there and I have to go online to get it... even
though I always set them to download the whole thing?
Doesn't it defeat the purpose of an RSS feed that I keep having to go online
to get content?

Just curious! Thanks!

It's controlled by how the person/site configured their RSS service.
