Currency In A Spreadsheet

Q

QMS

Every time I open a spreadsheet that I have previously saved, it will change the currency from £ to $. I have formatted the cells etc prior to saving.
Very frustrating - any suggestions?

Also program randomly crashes - even more frustrating.

Just solved my own problem - When you enter your data and change the symbol through the toolbox menu to currency and save the sheet, when you re-open it automatically changes back to $. If you highlight the currency cells through the tabs menu and select cell, format, currency and select £ United Kingdom it will change the cell format and on saving and re-opening it will be £.

Still having the random crashes though.

I'm having this problem too, but have failed to solve it. Can you talk me through your solution because either I'm not doing what you did or it hasn't solved it for me.

Thanks

When you start Excel your spreadsheet appears, select the cells that you have currency in and at the very top of your screen where the Apple logo appears to the left, then it has the Excel tab, next it says file then view, then insert then format, click on Format, then from the drop down select cells, then in category select currency then you can select what you want. Save down after this and reboot and it should hold the currency as £.

Hope this helps, it fixed my problem.

Still have the crashes though.
