cursor at the end of the page

I have a problem. When starting the word documant, the cursor
seems at the end of the page. Why does this happen and how can I fix
it? Thanks alot.

Hi oercim,

In addition the what Graham has said, can you see a paragraph symbol (¶) on the page? If not, click on the ¶ on the toolbar. Doing
so will show whether you have any empty paragraphs in the new document. There should be only one. If there's more, the problem is
with the template Word is using for the document. You can open & edit the template to delete the extraneous paragraphs.
