Cursor breakdown

Oh nooooo my cursor is visible only as long as I am typing and letting the
words wrap around line-to-line. When I get to the end of a paragraph and
press the return key to start a new paragraph, the cursor disappears. I then
have to use my mouse to click on the line to get the cursor to reappear. I
am having to type with the reveal formatting on. Is it something I wrote?

Hi Cathryn,

There are quite a few postings in the newsgroups about disappearing cursors,
one of which might help in your situation.

Some posted suggestions are:

- Switch your zoom level to 500% and then back to 100%.

- If you're using a laptop you might be brushing the touchpad with your hand
when you press the Enter key.

- Check in Control Panel/Keyboard that the cursor blink rate is not set to
none.

If none of these help then try searching the groups for "cursor
disappearing" (with and without the quotes).
