Cursor disappears

Today installed Office 2010 Beta. Am running Windows 7. While using Word from
this suite (which I understand is actually Word 2007), if I hold down the
spacebar the cursor disappears while it is advancing. I can't tell where it
is until I release the spacebar. Very troublesome and I can't find a way to
fix it.

Word in Office 2010 is Word 2010, but its behaviour in this regard is the
same as it was in 2007, which was a change from earlier versions. The cursor
does not disappear, but it does not stop flashing and, so, is not always
visible.

If you must do this, one way to see what is happening is to show formatting
marks so that you can see where the spaces are: File > Options > Display tab
and choose what you want to see. There are, however, other ways to layout
your document, almost all of them better than this.

Office 2010 Beta does not include Word 2007, but 2010 and the Beta in the
name implies an unfinished product that may be flawed. If you are involved
in the Beta program then address your problems to the Beta program. If not
then you probably shouldn't have access to this software.
