Cursor froze. Unable to select text, point, copy. Can anyone help?

My cursor stopped working all of a sudden in Word 2007. I am unable to
select, highlight, point, copy, paste, etc. I cannot import or export data.
However, the cursor works with all other applications. I am using Windows
Vista (32).
Does anyone Know what I can do to fix the problem?

Thank you so much for your response. While waiting, and out of desperation, I
rebooted the computer several times, and was about to remove the program and
reinstalled it again, when for some miraculous reason it started working. I
did take note of your comments for future reference in case of further
“mishapsâ€. Again, I truly appreciate your taking the time to respond and lend
a hand. Thank you!
