cursor highlighting

im using mac excel on OSX and am having difficulty seeing cursor. how can
i change cursor outline color or brightness. thanks.

I don't know of any way to change the cursor.

If you mean the highlighted cell, XL takes the color from the System.
You can change the Highlight color in the Appearances pane of the System
Preferences.

You can also use Chip Pearson's RowLiner add-in to outline the selected
row and column:
