Cursor invisible when drawing a line

I'm getting quite frustrated. Whenever I try to draw a line (or do a screen
capture) in Onenote 2007, I am unable to see where my cursor is. I can try to
do it really fast & then try to guess where it is, but I shouldn't have to do
that.

When I do a screen capture, the screen goes gray but I have no idea where my
cursor is & I have no chance to change my selection once I make it.

Do I have something set wrong?

Hard to say - each of those things should change your cursor to a small
black plus sign. If you just gently move your mouse left and right you
don't see the plus sign moving on the screen? As long as you don't push any
mouse buttons jiggling the mouse shouldn't affect your ability to draw or
capture.

I've tried it a hundred times and the cursor is completely invisible (never
any sign of a plus). I have looked through all preferences and searched
online for hours trying to figure it out. It's a fairly new Sony Vaio with
not too many programs loaded so I don't imagine it would be any kind if
internal problem.

I may try to reinstall Onenote.

I just fixed it by changing my mouse pointers to a different
scheme.) Thanks for your reply.
