Cursor Jump

Can anyone tell me how to stop the cursor from oving to a random point in my
email when I am writing? I have Outlook 2003 on a Dell Lattitude D600.

Example: When typing an original message or reply, i can look up from my
typing and see my cursor has moved to the subject line or signature block
line - and the last items I typed are in that line. Has become very
frustrating to say the least. Is this Windows/Outlook or the Dell and can it
be fixed?

I''m going to bet the latitude has a touchpad and the pressure sensitivity
is on (which is easy enough to check. Can you tap the touchpad to click?).
I know I've always had that problem myself. Try Control Panel - Mouse and
see if there's a Tapping tab and, if there is, play with the settings until
it fits your hand. If there isn't, it is probably a hardware vendor
specific control panel entry (maybe labeled Touchpad) and you'll need to dig
out what it would be.
