Cursor moves while I'm typing

I'll be typing a document in word and for no apparant reason the cursor has
jumped up about 5 or 8 lines and started inserting the text here. Any ideas
what this could be? I'm studying a Creative Writing course so it's really
frustraiting. Thanks

If this is a laptop, it is usually because the touchpad is over-sensitive
and just gently brushing the pad simulates a mouse click. Check in the
setting for the touchpad: you should be able to desensitize the pad, disable
the double-click simulation or both.
