Cursor Placement

Austin Mihalik

I was wondering if it was possible to default the cursor
placement of a highlighted cell at the end of the line.
For example say a field has the equation = C1 + C2 and I
want to add + C3 to this equation. Right now I have to
physically move the mouse to the formula bar and select
the end of the text each time a new number is being input
into the cell. Is there a way to default the options so
that when the next cell is highlighted, the numbers or
formula that are entered are added onto the existing text
as opposed to replacing what is in the field.

Your response is appreciated,

Austin

Hi Austin:

I'm not sure if this exactly answers your question, but hitting the F2 key
will put the active cell in edit mode and position the cursor at the end of
the cell entry.

There is no way to "add" to the existing contents of a cell without going
into edit mode.

Regards,

Vasant.
