cursor position

It's a legal matter-does the cursor ALWAYS stay in the same cell it was in
when the worksheet is saved? My own testing seems to indicate that it does.
Thanks for any help

As far as I know it does as far there isn't any macro running at the startup
of the file.
An auto-open macro might change the cursor position before you actually see
it. Strictly spoken even then the cursor does initially have the original
position, but as said you might only see it when the position has changed.

This is a peer to peer user group. For legal matters, I think you'd need Microsoft's
confirmation on this to get rich.

(But I believe you're correct; sheet, cell, top row, leftmost column is saved and
restored.)

Thanks Harold. I am well aware of what "this" is. I was not asking a legal
question but a technical question.
