cursor problem after using wordcount

Am using Word 2007 for home and students. After using wordcount on a
document, the cursor travels much, much more slowly when I use the right or
down arrows to move it around the document. If I close and reopen the
document, it returns to its normal speed. Any ideas how to fix this?
