Cursor speed is slow in Word 2007 running on Vista

In Word 2007 running on home/student version the cursor is slow. It works OK
in Excel. I have run the uninstall/repair without results. Suggestions are
welcome.

Possibly an incompatible printer driver. Try starting Word in Safe Mode and
testing. From Start, Run, type in

winword /a

and press enter. How is it in safe mode? If it is OK, try a newer or
different printer driver.
