Custom background colors for email

I have often changed the background color on an email in Outlook by going to
Format>Background>Color; but I find most of the colors garish and unusable.
Is there any way to add custom colors, rather than inserting a background?

Why not use Outlook stationery? If you don't like the built-in styles, you
