Custom button images and toolbars in Word 2007

1.) How does one edit the button images in Word 2007.
2.) How does one create custom toolbars in Word 2007.

I have a template in Word 2003 with just over 50 macros. They are
grouped in four or five custom toolbars. I use these macros for the
formatting of special kinds of documents - for formatting tables, text
and image and text boxes. I've edited the button images to symbolize
the task that the macros perform.

Missing in Word 2007 seems to be;
1.) The functionality to edit button images for custom commands
2.) The ability to create dedicated toolbars

If I create my 50+ macros it seems that I will have to line up my 50+
buttons in one continuous string of meaningless images at the top of
the Word window in the 'quick access bar'.

Am I missing something? Is the functionality still there, just hidden
somewhere? If so where is it?

Hi Dbuchanan,

Correct.

2.) The ability to create dedicated toolbars
Only available using VBA code.
If I create my 50+ macros it seems that I will have to line up my 50+
buttons in one continuous string of meaningless images at the top of
the Word window in the 'quick access bar'.
Actually, three lines are available. If you have three different
toolbars (perhaps in three separate Add-in templates), they should
appear on three lines.

Right-click menus are also possible.
Am I missing something? Is the functionality still there, just hidden
somewhere? If so where is it?

With the catch that those toolbars only appear on the Add-Ins tab.
