How do I select a custom color for a bar chart?
The Format Data Series dos not give you this option.

Sure it does (at least in Access 2002).
See if your version is similar.

In Design View, double-click on the chart so that you are in Edit.
On the Menu, click Tools + Options + Color.
The Color sheet will appear.
Select the old color in the Color Fill row of squares.
Click on Modify.
Click on either the Standard or Custom tab, as desired.
Make and save your new color.
Click OK.
The new color bar will replace the old color bar.
