custom colours

is there a way of assigning a custom colour to text in word 98? i know
this is possible in word 2000 by selecting the 'more colours' option

No. Next version. The Word 2000 16-bit text colours did not arrive until
Word X on the Mac.

Hi Peter,

Word 2001 offers "More Colors" at the bottom of the default color choices
and clicking on it takes you to a custom colors dialog. Unfortunately, I
don't think you have this option in Word 98. At least the "Office 98 Bible"
which I happen to have says "16 possible colors can be selected from the
list box" and doesn't mention any other options. Sorry.
