Custom Contact User-Defined Fields Blank

I created a custom contact form in Outlook 2003. We have 4 users in total,
each with the same exact version of Outlook. I sent an .oft file to the
other 3 thru email since we do not have an Exchange system but rather an SQL
server. The forms were then opened and published onto each computer and
seemed to be working just fine, even applying the form to the current folder.

The problem arises upon ENTERING information into the Contact at this point.
When I enter information, it either does not show up on their end or it
ERASES what was in that field before and leaves it blank. If THEY enter
something into the user defined field, it erases it on all of the other
computers, etc.

I know it may be an issue that the "user-defined fields in folder" on their
computers is not completely populated and I'm not sure WHY it is not or if
that is the issue. The fields show up, just not in the All Fields section.
I tried recreating the user-defined field on another computer by selecting
"New" next to its field name in Properties, and was able to successfully add
it to the user-defined fields in folder. But it did not help the situation
in Sharing information. Any siggestions or insight?

Since you don't have an Exchange server, you are using some non-Outlook method of sharing data, correct? You need to ask that provider about their support for custom fields and custom forms.

We are using Outlook to send the .oft file and publish as a form to their
Personal Forms Library. We are still sharing all of our Outlook information,
all of our contacts, calendars, etc. Some of the user-defined fields are
appearing and actually WORK between our computers, filling in the correct
information on all ends. But onyl in some fields, those that are showing as
user-defined fields in folder on every computer.

My question is how to correct the problem of not having the "user-defined
fields in folder" on the other computers. I'll keep working on it and see
what I can do. But I do believe it is possible to share these items, as it
does work properly on most of the other user-defined fields.

Create the fields manually using the folder's Field Chooser.
